DaisySince its inception in 1981, we have been working on behalf of people with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families.

Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Canada is a federation of 13 organizations working collectively on behalf of people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus.

Our volunteer national board of directors is comprised of representatives from member associations across the country.

The Board of Directors sets the vision for the organization while linking to the moral ownership (people with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus).

Our staff are professionals in their respective fields who carry out the vision through a series of goals and objectives.

Mission Statement

To improve the quality of life of all individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families through awareness, education, advocacy and research, and to reduce the incidence of neural tube defects.

Vision Statement

The Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada strives to be the leading national voluntary health organization, setting the standard for education, public awareness and research of spina bifida and hydrocephalus.  We aspire to reduce the incidence of spina bifida and hydrocephalus and to promote independence of people living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
