October 25, 2017 | Joey Pothe October 25, 2017 ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE FOR ALL! #WSBHD Today is the 6th World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day! There are at least 1.5 million people globally living with neural tube defects. People with spina bifida and hydrocephalus need timely and affordable access to appropriate, specialized and multidisciplinary care throughout their lifespan. Let’s celebrate WSBHD today and keep working together for an integrated care system which includes mental health services to help them be as healthy as possible! The aim of the World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day is to raise awareness and understanding and to advocate and promote the rights of persons with these conditions. Does your association plan to organise some activities connected to the World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day on 25 October? Tell us about it and share your ideas and actions with the SBH community across Canada. Send your stories to info@sbhac.ca. FacebookTweetPin
